The Artists 4 Space program includes a series of classes for children that will introduce them to space exploration using a unique mix of Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math (STEAM)

How you can help

Interactive Learning

This immersive method supports a full spectrum of learning modalities. Through visual, auditory, and kinesthetic learning, students will be taught in an interactive and entertaining way.

A multi-faceted, program that revolves around the creation of aerospace concept art and design. The project includes on-site painting demonstrations at the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex, multi-media presentations, art lessons for both children and adults, and art shows that include works by past aerospace artists, current artists, and students.

An additional feature of the Artists 4 Space program is the Artist in Residency component.

The 2017 program will run from June 12th to the 30th. Don Gillespie will be painting an artists concept of the Space Launch System (SLS) live, on-site, at the Kennedy Space Center Visitors Complex iMax west gallery.

As visitors view the progress of the painting demonstration they will be able to interact with the artists and ask questions. Learn more
